The vane pump is a pump that contacts the pump casing (stator ring) in the rotor groove and presses the sucked liquid from the oil inlet side to the oil discharge side. It is an important power component in the hydraulic system.
 
When the vane pump is working, there will often be insufficient flow and no oil. This article shares the reasons for these problems and the corresponding solutions.
 
 
Insufficient traffic
 
1. Due to the long-term operation and vibration of the oil pump, the screw at the top cover of the pump is loosened, the axial clearance is increased, and the volumetric efficiency is reduced.
 
Solution: Tighten the screws properly to ensure a uniform and proper clearance.
 
2. The hydraulic system leaks greatly.
 
Solution: Check the leaks on a component-by-component basis and check that the gauge is clogged with dirt.
 
3. Individual blades are not flexible.
 
Solution: When cleaning the blade, if it is still not flexible after cleaning, it should be prepared in a single slot.
 
4. The end face of the distribution plate is seriously worn.
 
Solution: Replace.
 
 
5. The inner surface of the stator is worn and the blades are not in good contact with the inner surface of the stator.
 
Solution: The inner surface of the stator is generally worn at the suction chamber, and the worn stator is replaced.
 
6. The blade is mounted against the rotor.
 
Solution: Make the blade inclination direction consistent with the rotation direction of the rotor.
 
7. The speed does not reach the rated speed
 
Solution: Select the motor speed according to the specified rated speed.
 
8. Air leaks from the suction pipe.
 
Solution: Use the buttering method to check the joints of the suction pipe one by one. If the noise is reduced, tighten the joint. Or directly observe the presence of air bubbles at the return port.
 
 
Insufficient oil absorption
 
1. The oil level in the fuel tank is too low.
 
Solution: Replenish the oil above the minimum oil mark.
 
2. The inlet filter is clogged or the flow is too small.
 
Solution: Clean the filter or use a filter with a flow rate of more than 2 times the pump flow.
 
3. The end face of the oil distribution plate is in poor contact with the screen inside the housing, and the high and low pressure chambers are collided.
 
Solution: Renovate the end face of the oil distribution plate.
 
4. The viscosity of the oil is too large, making the blade slide in the rotor slot is not flexible.
 
Solution: Generally use 20# hydraulic oil or 22# turbine oil.
 
5. The motor is turning backwards.
 
Solution: Correct the direction.
 
6. There are sand holes inside the pump body, and the high and low pressure chambers collide.
 
Solution: Replace.
